Where I work...I have a large mirror as a work surface. It's easy to clean and I think it adds light to the area
The camera is unforgiving and shows every little defect. I need to learn how to soften the images so that the gourds appear as they do in 'real life'.

You're very kind. Right now they are therapy. I grabbed another gourd as soon as I finished the last big one and started doodling on it. One Vicodin and one gourd; instant pain relief! Well, sort of...
Not just being kind...your pain therapy is allowing you to create these. Too bad nobody is really buying art right now. You could probably sell them at the Plant Barn. I bet there is a lot of hours in these.
